SAADATI GARDEN COTTAGE, Carmel by the Sea, CA
Dating back to its original construction in 1907, this charming cottage once held the prestigious title of the “John Galen Howard Cottage,” then became known as “Copsey Court,” and later simply as “Garden Cottage.”
Fast forward to May 2005, “Garden Cottage” gained recognition as a key piece of early Carmel history, earning a place in the historical records of The Department of Community Planning and Building of the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea.
In 2015, I embarked on a meticulous preservation and renovation project, guided by the principles outlined in the “Standards for Historic Architecture,” with a singular purpose—to preserve Carmel’s rich heritage and architectural legacy.
The project’s primary objective was to restore the historic house and honor the original value of the structure, which embodies the character that symbolizes the uniqueness of the cottage.
The result is a seamless blend of historical charm and modern elegance. We are delighted to introduce you to the reimagined “SAADATI GARDEN COTTAGE.”
