MAYOR'S OFFICE OF TEUSAQUILLO – Bogotá, Colombia – Design Competition
The proposal envisions a contemporary building that promotes social interaction, recognition, and civic belonging. Public areas are located near pedestrian access points, integrating the exterior with the interior through transparency and spatial relationships. The upper floors are restricted to officials, with the mayor's office on the eighth floor.
CONCEPTUAL BASIS
The building aims to meet two conditions of contemporary offices: "Corporate Experience" and "Platform for Information Exchange."
OFFICE AS CORPORATE EXPERIENCE
Modern offices project the essence of the organization through their design elements, transmitting the institution's image and history to employees and visitors.
OFFICE AS A PLATFORM FOR INFORMATION EXCHANGE
Flexible, modern office spaces facilitate interdisciplinary information exchange and can be easily transformed. This open, flexible concept is applied to floors 5, 6, 7, and 8.
FURNISHING CRITERIA
SPATIAL GENERALITIES: Workspaces prioritize user comfort with adequate natural lighting and an open office concept. No workstation is more than 4 meters from a natural light source, and areas without natural light are used for services like archives and reprography.
INTERNAL ORDERING SYSTEMS
-
Regulating Grid / Furnishings: The building's design allows for a regulating grid in multiples of 0.60 meters, addressing furnishings, lighting, and modular raised flooring.
