The Big Sur Residence is a 2,369-square-foot contemporary home thoughtfully designed for a breathtaking hilltop site at 46314 Pfeiffer Ridge Road in Big Sur, California. Nestled on 4.97 acres with sweeping 270-degree ocean and mountain views, the residence harmonizes modern architecture with Vastu Shastra principles and the Fibonacci sequence, creating a sanctuary attuned to natural energies.
Built on the site of a historic home lost in the 2013 Pfeiffer Fire, the design honors the land’s legacy with fire-resistant materials and terraced foundations that follow the natural contours of the terrain. Key features include a NE entrance for positive energy flow, a light-filled great room with 12-foot ceilings, private west-wing bedrooms, and a celestial-inspired observatory with retractable roof. Outdoor spaces, like the fire pit terrace, blend seamlessly into the landscape, reinforcing the home’s deep connection to its surroundings.
Currently a work in progress, this residence promises to be a serene retreat where architecture, nature, and cosmic harmony converge.
